How Will You Spend National Volunteer Day?

Are you ready for the next holiday? No, not Thanksgiving, we've still got a few days to go for that one. I'm talking about National Family Volunteer Day, the Saturday before Thanksgiving. That's this Saturday, November 22nd.

I love this opportunity to take a break from holiday prep. My family will join families across the country making a meaningful difference together.

Here are some ways you can join in the fun!

  1. Find a project at Generation On, some of which were contributed by the experts here at Doing Good Together™.

  2. Join us on Friday if you happen to be in the Twin Cites this weekend. We'll be at the Midtown Global Market from 5 to 8 on Friday, November 21. Families are invited to come together to do simple, hands-on service projects, reflect on the importance of giving back, and learn about opportunities to get involved in their community.

  3. Find a local opportunity to do good. Take a look at our local listings. Visit seniors, help a neighbor, or visit the generationOn site to find a local event.

  4. Share your story! After you've volunteered, visit generationOn to inspire other families and potentially win some great prizes!

Help your kids enjoy being part of this national momentum!
