Do Good, Live Well

A survey released just a few days ago by UnitedHealthcare and VolunteerMatch reaffirms what other researchers have found — volunteering is good for both mind and body. Eighty-four percent of volunteers surveyed said that volunteering improves physical health, while 95% agreed that it improves emotional well-being. A whopping 96% believe that volunteering makes people happier. “It has been said a little volunteering never hurt anyone — but who knew it could actually make you healthier?” said Greg Baldwin, president of VolunteerMatch. “We’re delighted to work with UnitedHealthcare to help share the good news.” For more information, visit http://tiny.cc/crd58

It’s so inspiring to hear that volunteering is actually good for you! We like to call the feeling you get for doing good the Leap Effect!
