It's so important to understand that we may need help at other times in our lives, so while we can, we should help others. I also really the "in our own neighborhood" aspect of Meals on Wheels too. For us it's been a great opportunity to help others right in our area. We pass 6 or 7 places we have brought meals on our way to Tae Kwan Do class three times a week. (Who knew?) It is also a great chance to talk about how these people need our help right now, but it may be others who need help another time, even us.
