The following resources are available to enhance your family service efforts.

  • A Busy Family’s Guide to Volunteering by DGT Executive Director Jenny Friedman, a comprehensive book describing hundreds of volunteer opportunities, including projects with children, the elderly, the environment, animals, cultural organizations and political campaigns.

  • DGT’s Family Service Night Manual, with all the information you need to host a fun, meaningful volunteer evening. The event consists of 5 to 10 “stations,” each one offering a simple, hands-on service project for families.
  • Information packet to assist families in establishing their own tradition of community service, including information on holiday volunteering, volunteer vacations, which organizations welcome family volunteers and more.
