Location: Eastern Assembly of God, 7923 Wise Ave., Baltimore

CityBeat is a nonprofit that aims to change Baltimore by loving, restoring, and empowering communities through outreach and residential programs. Come out and join us as we love on the people of Old Dundalk! Volunteers will meet at Eastern Assembly of God, drive over to Dundalk Middle School, and disperse from there. We will be cleaning up trash, meeting with residents, and spreading hope to the community.
 
Ages: Everyone is welcome to participate

Harvest Helpers Volunteer Event

Location: Carroll County Community Garden located at the end of Milton Ave., Westminster

Have a green thumb? Have kids that like to dig in the dirt? Or perhaps you're looking to get that perfect farmer's tan? If so, Harvest Helpers is for you. Bring your friends, coworkers and family to join in the fun at Carroll County Community Garden. Together, we'll roll up our sleeves and harvest produce for our neighbors in need of healthy fruits and vegetables.
 
Ages: Families are welcome to volunteer
 
Time Commitment: Two hours

ShareBaby provides diapers, clothing and gear to highly effective community organizations working to ensure Baltimore's young children get the best start in life! Want to get hands on with helping babies in need? Come help us with gear sorting and diaper wrapping at the warehouse.

Ages: Families with children of all ages are welcome to participate. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
 
Time Commitment: Two hours

The St. Francis Neighborhood Center is committed to ending generational poverty through education, inspiring self-esteem, self-improvement, and strengthening connections to the community. This is an opportunity to help clean up St. Francis Neighborhood Center as well as the surrounding neighborhood. Roll up your sleeves and get into it! Gloves, trash bags, and water will be provided.

B & Dee's 2nd Annual Back to School Block Party
B & Dee's Baltimore Love
 
Date/Time: Saturday, August 18. Volunteer shifts are from 8am - noon, noon - 4pm, or all day.
 
Location: 653 N. Bentalou St., Baltimore

The mission of B & Dee's Baltimore Love is to provide help and resources to those experiencing poverty and homelessness in Baltimore City, and to inspire others to give back to the community. Join us for this event that is all about our youth and getting them ready for the upcoming school year. Volunteers are needed to help with food service, school supplies giveaway, and setup/cleanup.

Ages: Families with children of all ages are welcome to volunteer 
 
Time Commitment: Four hour shifts

Back to School Kindness Challenge

Take the Back to School Kindness Challenge! The back-to-school season is a great time to re-orient ourselves to our priorities. Let's resolve to make this a big-hearted school year full of compassion, reflection, and thoughtful acts of kindness. These unique ideas help students focus on daily acts of kindness before, during, and after the school day. Choose from the elementary grade and/or upper grade challenge. Starting on September 1 you can follow along with DGT on social media, both on Instagram and in our Big-Hearted Families community on Facebook, for kindness reminders and personal stories.
