Encourage young bookworms to share their love of books. After reading an especially enjoyable library book, they can write a note of enthusiasm (or just a cheery message) and slip it into the book before returning it. You can write your notes on Post-its or on cut-out paper hearts. Check out other fun ways book lovers can share kindness.
Talk to your child:
- How do you think the person who finds our note will feel when they see it?
- Do you think the person who receives it will write notes to include in their library books? Talk about whether your random act will start a “chain of kindness.”
