Many homeless shelters give out sandwiches to guests when they leave in the morning to ensure they have a healthy lunch. You can keep shelters well supplied by starting your own sandwich brigade. First check with your local homeless shelter to see if they can use your donation. Also find out specific instructions for the sandwiches before you begin.
Talk to your child:
How would you feel if you had to rely on a kind stranger to provide your lunch every day?
What else can we do to help out people who are homeless?
