Broadening Our Reach and Scope
Integration
Doing Good Together (DGT), a national nonprofit dedicated to empowering families to raise children who care and contribute, recently broadened its scope by integrating with Create the Change (CTC). This union will integrate CTC’s valuable digital platform and programs into DGT’s expansive family resources and strengthen efforts to build the next generation of changemakers through volunteering.
Membership
Our membership offerings continue to grow! This year, we continued to work toward improving our membership platform and offerings for new and current DGT Family and DGT Classroom members.
Legacy Society
We embarked upon the process of creating a Legacy Society. We had exceptional guidance and are building a community that embraces kindness and giving back. Check out our new webpage with many ways to give, including planned giving to leave a legacy of support for DGT.
Website Optimization
Over the past year, we have focused on enhancing our website's search engine optimization (SEO) to attract more users to our services. By strategically using keyword data and tailoring our web pages to align with popular searches, we've successfully increased our website traffic by 33%. We now see over 11,000 weekly visitors to our website. These efforts are drawing more families seeking kindness project inspiration, expert advice, kindness challenges, conversation starters and empathy-building book suggestions, all aimed at helping families and caregivers nurture the next generation of leaders in kindness.
Outreach
DGT continues to reach more families through media appearances. In 2023-24, we appeared in several national and local publications, including the Parenting Pickup Podcast from New Horizon Academy, the Best of Both Worlds Podcast, and Minnesota Parent. See the latest.
Festival of Giving
This year’s Festival of Giving featured the authors of the beautiful book Anti-Racist Art Activities for Kids. This workshop provided examples of anti-bias, anti-racist art activities to implement at home and in the community. The lessons shared were designed to empower youth to use their art, actions, and words to create a positive change toward a more just and equitable future. Access Festival of Giving recordings with a DGT Family membership.
