News & Updates in 2024-25
New Book Lists
Doing Good Together™ created new book lists for our community on moms and read-alouds. Check them out!
New Blogs and Printables
We offer a growing collection of free blogs and newsletters designed especially for families, filled with practical ideas and encouraging stories centered on service, kindness, and everyday character-building. These resources are created to be accessible and inspiring, helping families find simple, meaningful ways to live out their values together and make a positive impact in their homes and communities.
Festival of Giving
This year we decided to bring our Festival of Giving back to the Community in Minnesota in person. We did a traditional Family Service Fair at Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities with incredible support from L’Oreal, New Horizons, Ginsburg Legal Services, PLLC and Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities. Additionally we provided a resource kit to families throughout the nation who were not able to participate in the in person event.
Family and Classroom Membership
Our membership offerings continue to offer ways for our members to access more information, tools, and opportunities for service, learning, and kindness.
Legacy Society
We created infrastructure for our Legacy Society that is for our members. We had exceptional guidance and are building a community that embraces kindness and giving back. Check out our new webpage with the options for legacy giving.
DGT’s Partnerships in 2024-25
Create the Change
We worked to integrate Create the Change into our work at Doing Good Together this year. With a shared mission and greater reach– together we will have even more impact.
Global Peace Women
Working collaboratively with Global Peace Women, we created a yearly workbook plan for families to engage with topics of kindness, peace and volunteering each month.
Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City
This year we worked with the Jewish Community Foundation, Jewish Federation and Jewish Experiences to collaborate on a talk about Raising Charitable Children. Families joined together to have a productive and inspiring conversation around how to teach our children philanthropy.
Seattle’s Child
We are partnering with Seattle’s Child to bring out Family Friendly Volunteer Listings to a wider audience. This amazing partnership has really broadened our reach and brought DGT resources to the readers of Seattle’s Child. We are excited to continue partnering into this next year!
Somerset
DGT consulted with Somerset on some very large Family Service Fairs that served over 400 children. This long-standing partnership has been an amazing experience!
Nerdland Cummings Group
This year we partnered with the Nerdland Cummings group to provide a Family Service Fair for their families at the Minnesota Children’s Museum.
Accenture
We also partnered with Accenture on a Take Your Child to Work Day – an opportunity for families to do service together!
Pilgrim Lane
DGT worked with Pilgrim Lane to co-create a Family Service Fair for their youth and families. The youth simultaneously created their own fundraiser to help Save the Children.
